The Base Area Lead is responsible for supervising the grounds maintenance and parking operation through the summer 2014 season.
Responsibilities Include, (but are not limited to):
Ensure quality results of our daily maintenance tasks and special projects, and will provide exceptional guest service to internal and external customers alike.
Promote a safe and positive work enviroment for employees.
Supervise 4 unskilled maintenance staff, 1 parking attendant, and 1 equipment operator in the winter; and 3 grounds maintenance staff, and 1 gardener in the summer.
Responsible for ensuring that safety is paramount in all operations, including vehicle and equipment operations.
Train all staff in proper vehicle vehicle and equipment operations,and monitor departmental compliance in these aspects.
Ensure all vehicles and equipment are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
Work with supervisor and team lead to effectively implement the departmental work list.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma_ - required._
Fluent English_ - required._
Valid Driver''s License_ - required._
Previous supervisory experience of greater than 4 people_ - required._
Lift up to 100 lbs_ - required._
Basic Compuer Skills including MS Office_ - required._
Light duty equipment operation ( 2 years )_ - preferred. _
Outdoor winter environment experience_ - preferred. _
Landscaping / Irrigation / Flower experience_ - preferred. _
Schedule: Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
